Pine Bay Market is our small woodworking / maker business.
We run a small woodshop, industrial laser cutter and CNC router.
Besides the woodworking side of the business, we also offer Construction services. We offer drafting, 3D modeling and templating services to assist Contractors with unique conditions, such as curves, arcs, angles, repetitive designs, etc.

What makes us unique is simple: we’re an authentic “ma & pa” small business.
No warehouses, no outsourcing. It’s just the two of us. Driving to the local wood shop to hand select the rough stock, milling, flattening, straightening, laminating, all the way to sending you human-wrote emails confirming your design, assembling the box, slapping our Pine Bay Market sticker on the front and driving it to the post office - we handle every aspect of your order from start to finish!

Currently our online shop shipping is only for Canada (all 10 provinces & 3 territories).
If you’re outside of Canada and looking to purchase from us, please send us an email so we can get international shipping set up for you!
We use Canada Post - Regular Parcel™ for all Canadian orders.

All standard orders are final sale once the item(s) are packaged and leave the shop.
All custom orders are final sale once the proof has been approved and fabrication has begun.
We’re people too and understand that “things happen”… If your items arrive damaged, not in the condition that meets your expectations or you need to cancel an order - please send us an email so we can work through the situation with you.

🌲 Our Story
The story behind how we developed Pine Bay Market has many moving parts, but in its simplest form:
For the past 7 years we both worked in the commercial architecture industry where we were professionals in design & 3D modeling software, drafting technical drawings, building envelope and building code. Through this career is where we grew our love of technology and planning.
Fall of 2022 we decided to expand our kitchen and attempt to make the new cabinetry ourselves instead of purchasing it from a big box store. We invested in basic woodworking tools. Making the cabinet boxes and drawers went smoothly, and we were well on our way to making the shaker style faces… except we needed 32 of them to match the old cabinets to the new addition. It’s now April 2023 and the cabinet faces were dragging out, so we reached out a friend who worked for a custom home builder. He recommended two cabinet shops that will CNC out the faces for us.
Through a series of events we ended up purchasing a hobbyist level CNC machine in June 2023 to assist with finishing up. Relating back to our careers in architecture, the learning curve was quite small as we already knew the design software side of operating a CNC machine.
It was at this moment we realized we could do more with this CNC than just finish up our kitchen. There was this whole world of markets, maker events, festivals and online shopping that was new to us, but gave us the idea to start-up a small woodworking / maker business.
Life is short and we were presented with an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. We took a step away from our careers to pursue Pine Bay Market full time, for the next year, pouring everything we have to make our small business a success.
October, 2023 - Pine Bay Market was born.
